Quite a common question, especially after using GarageBand (included with iLife, from Apple) — Windows users would like something similar that they could use at home.
Fortunately, there are alternatives such as:
- Acid Xpress (free, but you also have to download loops to make it work)
- Music Maker (trials) — (classic & premium) by Magix
- and Acid Pro by Sony (trial)
My advice: Magix Music Maker. Yes, it’s not free, but I find it worth the money. Cheaper than getting a Mac.
